Silent Retreats

Here's an interesting article, Silent Retreats: How to Choose, by Bruce Davis, Ph.D.

"The more difficult it is to imagine going on a silent retreat, may be a sign of how important and life-enhancing the experience will be!"

"A silent retreat is similar to taking a vacation but is much more. It is a healing experience. The moments of feeling naked without all our devices, family, and friends around us are transformed as we spend time nurturing and feeling everything in our retreat, the nature, and most of all the presence of the heart in silence."

Do you have the courage not only to go into silence yourself, but to offer and request silence as part of your next adventure?

Become Known for...

... you fill in the blank. What do you want your outings to be known for? How can you distinguish your adventures from what others offer?

This can be simple and uncomplicated.

Are your retreats known for the delicious indulgence you always bring? Do you adventurers know they'll always walk away with a new book or journal as part of your offering? Are you famous for always bringing in a surprise guest who will speak or in some way entertain your group? Do you always give away your coffee mug, hat, tee shirt with your logo to your guests?

Create 2 or 3 things you will ALWAYS do on your retreats and start branding yourself.
