Break The Rules

Do you want your Adventure Retreats to get noticed? How do you stand out among all those who are offering Adventures and Retreats in nature? Why follow the leader and be at the back of the pack forever?

Break The Rules.

Take a few minutes to think about the common rules to leading retreats. Here's a start for you:
  • Most offerings have one price or an early-bird price and a regular price
  • Either retreat with a group or people you have not yet met or pull your own group together
  • The location is determined by the leader in advance of the offering
  • Activities are planned in advance of the outing
You get the idea.

Now, spend some time thinking about how you can break these rules.

Maybe your participants pay based on the value they find from you offering. Or you offer your activities in an a la carte fashion. Perhaps you combine two or three distinct groups together in one offering, facilitating each group at different times. Maybe you bring a group together for an outing and let them decide during the opening half hour where you're going and, perhaps, even what the group is doing.

Yes, we know. As soon as we throw these ideas out there you're already thinking about why they won't work. Instead, break the rules. DON'T DO THAT! There are plenty of people out there who will be happy to tell you why it won't work. Figure it out for yourself.

Are you struggling with breaking the rules? Here's an option...
